Jailer Tim Meador

Jailer Meador is currently serving his first term as Allen County Jailer. He was appointed to the position in 2021, then successfully elected in 2023. He has successfully upheld fiscal responsibility by maintaining all given budget line items, ensuring efficient use of County resources. This stems from his over 30 years of management experiences. He has significantly enhanced facility security by installing additional surveillance cameras in population and holding cells, promoting a safer work environment for the staff. He prioritizes inmate rehabilitation by expanding access to in-house educational opportunities and actively partners with local businesses to provide qualified inmates with public job placements. These initiatives have enabled many to begin paying jail fees, child support, and restitution, supporting their reintegration into society. His vision for the facility includes increased training opportunities for the staff in security methodologies and professionalism as well as providing inmates with additional educational and job opportunities in an effort to reduce recidivism.

Jailer Meador is very actively involved in the community. He serves on three fire departments (Assistant Chief of Cedar Springs #1 VFD, Safety/Training officer of Scottsville Fire Department, Firefighter/EMT with Meador VFD), and is also a fire instructor. He is currently pastor of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in the Gainesville community. He consistently supports local sporting leagues for children, as well as other community initiatives.
